Job Description
The Permitting Coordinator supports the planning, development, and construction of hyperscale data center campuses by coordinating permit applications, approvals, renewals, and compliance documentation across multiple jurisdictions. This individual partners with Development, Construction, Legal, Real Estate, Utilities, and external agencies to ensure permits are obtained and maintained in accordance with project schedules.
Responsibilities
Coordinate permitting activities for new data center developments and campus expansions.
Track permit applications, approvals, inspections, renewals, and closeout requirements.
Maintain permit logs, databases, trackers, and project documentation.
Submit permit packages to local municipalities, utility providers, and regulatory agencies.
Monitor critical permit deadlines and proactively escalate risks to project teams.
Work closely with Development Managers, Construction Managers, Engineers, and consultants to ensure permitting requirements are incorporated into project schedules.
Coordinate responses to agency comments and requests for additional information.
Support site development efforts involving:
Building permits
Electrical permits
Utility permits
Environmental permits
Fire and life safety approvals
Occupancy permits
Manage document control and ensure permit records are maintained in SharePoint and project management systems.
Generate permitting status reports for leadership and stakeholders.
Support audits and compliance reviews related to permits, licenses, and development agreements.
The pay rate for this position is expected to be between $40-$45 an hour. Exact compensation for this position varies based on experience level and location. Health, dental, vision, and 401k benefits will be offered within 30 days of the start date.

Skills and Requirements
5+ years of permitting, construction coordination, project coordination, or development support experience.
1-2 years of experience in data center permitting
Experience working with municipal permitting agencies, state permits, trade permits, etc.
Strong organizational and document management skills.
Experience maintaining trackers, schedules, and compliance documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
