Located in Port Jefferson, the St. Charles Campus of Good Samaritan University Hospital combines advanced clinical expertise with a longstanding commitment to compassionate care. A leader in acute inpatient rehabilitation on Long Island, St. Charles Campus provides specialized care for patients recovering from conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic injuries. Job Details

Rehabilitation Aide works under the direct supervision of physical and occupational therapists and therapist assistants to assist with patient care; maintains the organization and cleanliness of the treatment space; and sets up and maintains cleanliness of equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and clean-up of treatment areas

  • Sets up and maintains cleanliness of equipment.

  • Assisting staff with patient care under therapist supervision

  • Cleans patient care equipment after every patient use.

  • Cleans all hot pack and cold pack machines

  • Returns equipment to its proper place and cleans/ prepares treatment areas between patient uses

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma/GED required

  • Experience in a hospital setting strongly preferred but not required.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to multitask and work in a fast paced department

  • Must have excellent customer service skills

Salary Range

USD $25.59 - USD $25.59 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
