Full job description

Lakeside Neurologic is a transitional rehabilitation community located on 900 acres in beautiful central Florida. We are currently accepting resumes for the position of Recreational Therapy Assistant. There is (1) open position.

Lakeside Neurologic treats pediatric and adult survivors of traumatic brain injury.

Responsibilities: Conducts recreational activities with groups, organizes, plans, directs therapeutic/medically approved rec programs for clients as approved by the department director. May assess client interests and satisfaction. Takes into account needs and interests of individual clients. Documents client participation in participatory recreational activities. May provide activities in-house and in the community.

Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED and previous experience with TBI, Behavioral, Mental Health, Physical and/or Developmental Disabilities. Associate Degree and background in Recreational Services is preferred. Applicants must be creative, energetic, and possess the ability to perform duties with minimal supervision. Must be able to work independently and with interdisciplinary team. Candidates must also be eligible for approved driver’s list and PCM 2S certified.

Work Schedule is -

Sunday - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday-Thursday 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

or

Monday -Wednesday 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
