Job Title: Lead Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

Location: 545 Washington Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07310.

Duties: Lead the technical design and architecture of software applications, providing direction and guidance to the development team while overseeing the implementation process. Ensure that technical solutions align with business goals and requirements and align efforts toward shared objectives. Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables. Analyze and optimize database performance, including query optimization and indexing. Plan upgrade processes, assess potential risks, and identify opportunities for process improvements by implementing best practices. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily standups, refinement sessions, and sprint planning, as well as in the planning and execution of unit testing. Migrate workflows to the open- source tool Camunda. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution. Conduct code reviews to ensure the quality of deliverables and knowledge-sharing sessions to promote reusability. Implement testing strategies to ensure the reliability and performance of applications.

Requirements: Master's degree in Digital Sciences, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer/Developer, IT Project Manager, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Digital Sciences, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer/Developer, IT Project Manager, or related occupation. This position requires experience with the following: designing, developing, and maintaining business process management solutions using Pega PRPC; implementing and adapting Pega design patterns for scalable and maintainable solutions; performing Pega platform upgrades in collaboration with Pega Centers of Excellence; building modern, user-centric applications using Pega Constellation; designing data models, class structures, workflows, and case identification for complex business processes; developing and managing agents, queue processors, and job schedulers; integrating Pega applications with external systems using SOAP, REST, SQL, and SSO; using Java to interact with Pega APIs and extend application functionality; automating build, test, and deployment using CI/CD tools including Jules, Maven, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and ServiceNow; troubleshooting and providing production support; Test Driven Development, Cucumber test automation, and JUnit test case development; performing Agile Java and JavaScript development across the full SDLC; monitoring and searching using Splunk; working with clients to adopt design patterns and validate solutions through proof-of-concept exercises; writing and optimizing SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting within enterprise applications; integrating Pega applications with relational databases using SQL connectors and data pages to ensure seamless data flow between systems; designing logical and physical data models, defining class structures, and supporting complex business processes; analyzing and optimizing database queries and structures to improve application performance and scalability; implementing database security best practices, including access controls, authentication, and authorization; developing custom reports and dashboards using SQL and Pega reporting tools to provide actionable business insights.
