Duties

The United States Space Force (USSF) at the Pentagon is searching for a Branch Chief for Physical Security to support S2X (NH-0080-04, GS-14/15 Equivalent). Description: Are you a leader looking to protect the future of war fighting? If so, come join the S2 as it trailblazes into its newly established Integrated Security Enterprise, as its Branch Chief, Physical Security. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the team that oversees all USSF physical security requirements for Headquarters Space Force. Ideal Candidate: Should have a strong physical security background with demonstrated experience. Key Skills and Abilities: 1. Expert knowledge of conducting periodic security reviews, inspections and other security oversight actions to ensure contractor compliance with physical security regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and/or other security agreements. 2. Advanced and In-depth knowledge of the evaluation of physical security requirements in PWS, DD254s, and other authoritative documents such that the Chief, Physical Security needs minimal oversight to decide the security baseline. 3. Advanced and In-depth knowledge of policy, processes, and procedures related to physical security and strategic planning activities needed to execute compliant projects and/or studies within established time constraints. 4. Skill in working with customers to assess needs, provide assistance, resolve problems, and satisfy expectations. 5. Ability to encourage new ideas and innovations; manage human and information resources strategically and build coalitions to achieve common goals. 6. Ability to persuade others to accept recommendations, work toward an agreement, and negotiate mutually acceptable solutions. Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies as related to the series and grade of the position being filled. Final qualifications determinations will be assessed based on OPM's General Schedule Qualifications Standards found here: Interviews: You will be contacted by e-mail and/or telephone if your application is identified as qualifying for a position being filled. An interview may be conducted. If interviewed, you will be asked to address the same knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies used to initially qualify your application for the position.
