Summary
Position may be filled as a Temporary Appointment not to exceed 1 year. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three (3) years. Position will NOT be made permanent. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Temporary appointment will be appointed/converted into a Temporary appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
Duties
- Advise leadership on all matters relating to resource management and planning issues.
- Administer the agency's Management Control Program.
- Plan, schedule, and carry out major projects concerned with the analysis and management of financial programs for organizational effectiveness.
- Ensure internal accounting and administrative controls have been established to provide reasonable assurance.
- Supervise employees to include the planning and scheduling of work to be accomplished by subordinates.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes documenting distribution of all funds, maintain audit trails, monitor and control of the fiscal resources of an Army organization; audit of appropriated funds and allocation of funds to activities; consolidating and compiling annual budget of direct and reimbursable funds involving separate appropriations; providing solutions to cost control problems to leadership; reviewing and analyzing budget requests for conformance with guidance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
