Full job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Data Scientist/Analyst to develop data pipelines, machine learning models, and analytics products from large-scale data sources, including hard drive telemetry from data center deployments. The role applies data science to improve product reliability, customer support, and business decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate works end-to-end — from raw data through deployed, maintained systems — and communicates effectively with engineering, sales, executive, and customer stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain machine learning models for prediction and analytics use cases, including retraining, monitoring, and evaluation

  • Design and maintain automated data pipelines for large-scale data ingestion, processing, and storage across cloud and on premises environments

  • Build and support interactive dashboards and automated reporting for internal teams and customers

  • Develop tooling to onboard and process new data sources, both internal and customer-provided

  • Work closely with engineering, quality, sales, and marketing stakeholders to formulate problem statements and deliver analytics solutions

  • Respond to ad hoc data questions and analysis requests from stakeholders as they arise

  • Communicate key findings to technical and business audiences, including senior stakeholders and customers

  • Research and evaluate new techniques and technologies in data science and machine learning

  • Maintain clear documentation and technical standards

Required Qualifications:

  • M.S. or B.S. in Data Science, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or equivalent

  • 3 years of professional experience delivering data science or data engineering projects to production

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, as well as common Python libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn

  • Experience with machine learning frameworks, model training, and validation

  • Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google cloud)

  • Experience with Git and version control workflows

  • Strong problem solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with large-scale time series or sensor data

  • Comfortable working in Windows and Linux environments

  • Dashboard and data product development experience

  • Experience with GPU computing and on-premises ML development

  • Familiarity with AI tools and their application to development and analytics workflows

  • Storage industry or hardware domain knowledge

Salary Range: $99,400 - $140,000
