We specialize in owning, operating, and developing high-quality real estate focused on healthcare discovery and delivery. Our impressive portfolio includes nearly 50 million square feet of medical outpatient buildings, lab and life science facilities and Senior Assisted Living centers throughout the country.

Position Overview

Healthpeak is seeking a detail-oriented paralegal or other contracting professional to support contracting and asset management initiatives across its Outpatient Medical and Lab portfolios. This role provides dedicated, high-touch support to a small group of real estate attorneys (typically 1–2), drafting and managing operational documentation, coordinating legal workflows, and supporting asset-level activity across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities: Asset and Property Management Support

  • Provide dedicated support to assigned attorneys (1–2) for asset-level legal matters

  • Coordinate preparation and execution of property-level contracts, NDAs and ancillary agreements (hold harmless, licenses, access agreements, vendor/service documentation)

  • Review master service contracts and related vendor/service agreements, coordinating execution and tracking key terms

  • Assist with notices, lease administration items, and other asset-driven legal requests

  • Track and manage documentation tied to property-level operations

Workflow Management & Systems

  • Manage intake, assignment, and tracking of legal requests through internal systems

  • Monitor workflow for assigned attorneys to ensure timely progression and execution

  • Maintain consistency in processing asset-related legal work across the portfolio

Data Integrity & Document Control

  • Maintain accurate records of executed documents and asset-level activity

  • Ensure alignment between legal documentation and system data (key dates, terms, property records)

  • Manage document organization, version control, and transaction file integrity

Process Execution & Improvement

  • Identify workflow gaps and implement practical improvements supporting asset management

  • Support updates to templates, forms, and standard processes

  • Contribute to system enhancements and automation initiatives, including exploring AI tools to streamline legal operations

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as liaison between assigned attorneys, Asset Management, and Property Management

  • Facilitate intake and triage of asset-level legal requests

  • Proactively flag issues or inconsistencies impacting execution

Position Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate legal support, legal operations, or asset/property management support

  • Strong drafting skills and understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals, asset operations, and transaction workflows

  • Experience with legal workflow or document management systems

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred; notary commission a plus

  • Strong organizational and data management skills with high attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting dedicated stakeholders
