The Interventional Vascular Technologist collaborates closely with Vascular Surgeons and an experienced interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care during minimally invasive vascular procedures.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication skills, including effective closed-loop communication, and is committed to delivering safe, high-quality patient care. Prior interventional vascular experience is preferred, but we welcome motivated new graduates who are eager to learn and grow.
A caregiver in this position works M-F, 8:00am-4:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Utilize sterile or aseptic technique to scrub in and perform vascular, interventional, and surgical procedures per protocol.

Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.

Ensure patients safety and comfort during and after exams.

Demonstrate understanding of primary purpose of drugs used in IR, indications, contraindications, contrast drug interactions and major effects.

Record and maintain procedural data to include injection data, elapsed fluoroscopic time and procedural information.

Monitor equipment, systems, clean equipment, and effects timely repair.

Learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation sessions.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
-
Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
-
Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing
-
Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist
-
Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography: R.T.(R)(CV)(ARRT) or Vascular-Interventional Radiology: R.T.(R)(VI)(ARRT)

Prior CT (Computed Tomography) experience
-
Comfortable interpreting cross-sectional anatomy during procedures
Physical Requirements:
-
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
-
Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $34.50
Maximum hourly: $51.00
