Monday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with one day off during the week. No night shifts.
Job Description
The Cashier provides customer service and performs point-of-sale duties in a hardware retail environment. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting customers, accurately ringing up merchandise, accepting cash and other forms of payment, providing receipts and correct change, and answering basic questions about store products and services. The cashier may direct customers to appropriate merchandise or store personnel for additional assistance.
Additional duties may include maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, stocking or straightening merchandise near the register, assisting with pricing and product displays, answering the telephone, and performing other general retail duties as assigned by management. The position requires regular interaction with customers and coworkers and the ability to provide courteous, dependable service.
