Summary

About the Position: This position is located at the 59th Medical Wing - Joint Base San Antonio - Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center; Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

  • Assist the Group Practice Manager (GPM) with the development, implementation, and tracking of short-range and long-range goals.
  • Use databases to pull standardized reports, analyze basic data, and provide recommendations and information to Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team leader, Group Practice Manager (GPM), and Executive Staff.
  • Monitor data quality, data security, and data timeliness.
  • Assist team leadership in writing long/short-term business plans with consideration of the overall Medical Treatment Facility’s strategy by compiling and analyzing historical data, as well as forecasting future workload.
  • Track and manage empanelment of providers, ensuring optimal enrollment based on staffing/support.
  • Identify trends and patterns, problem areas, causal relationships, and develop alternative courses of action from guidelines or precedents to meet strategic plan objectives and policies.
  • Evaluate the operational effectiveness of a variety of health care programs in terms of mission accomplishment.

Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes compiling data to assist with operational performance reports; scheduling patient appointments and/or updating provider templates; and performing administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling meetings, maintaining files, and providing customer service. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. AND Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
