Become a Licensed Pharmacy Technician while assisting pharmacists in an inpatient clinical hospital setting. As a valuable healthcare professional, you will provide an essential service by preparing necessary patient medications. Upon hire, you will be enrolled in a Pharmacy Technician Certification Program, a one-year or less self-paced study, at no cost to you. Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, organizes and maintains work area.

  • Fills containers, prepares and affixes labels, prepackages pharmaceuticals, maintains records, and stocks supplies under supervision.

  • Prepares and labels IVs, hyperalimentation solutions, chemotherapy agents, and other pharmaceutical products.

  • Responds to patient admission, transfer, discharge, discontinued medication notices, and processes physician orders.

  • Assists with recordkeeping, billing and accounting functions.

  • Assists in ordering, receiving, inspecting and adjusting stock.

  • Maintains floor stock, crash carts and nursing station inspection reports.

  • Performs other related duties as directed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • Michigan Pharmacy Technician License or Enrolled in a Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (currently enrolled or upon hire)

  • Exemplary customer service skills

  • Requires attention to detail & multi-tasking skills
