Warehouse Cycle Counter

Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

(Actual pay offered will be based on experience, skill level, and qualifications.)

Position Summary

Sea Fox Boats is seeking an experienced Warehouse Cycle Counter to join our warehouse team. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts throughout the warehouse by performing routine cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and ensuring inventory records accurately reflect physical quantities. The ideal candidate has warehouse or inventory experience, strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and takes pride in maintaining accurate inventory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled cycle counts of parts, materials, and inventory throughout the warehouse.

  • Accurately count, record, and verify physical inventory quantities.

  • Compare physical counts against inventory system records and identify discrepancies.

  • Research inventory variances and assist in determining the cause of discrepancies.

  • Make or communicate inventory adjustments according to established procedures and authorization requirements.

  • Verify part numbers, descriptions, quantities, locations, and inventory records.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of cycle counts and inventory adjustments.

  • Identify misplaced, damaged, or incorrectly labeled inventory and report issues to leadership.

  • Assist with inventory audits and physical inventory counts as assigned.

  • Work closely with Warehouse, Purchasing, Production, and other departments to resolve inventory discrepancies.

  • Follow established inventory control procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.

  • Maintain organized inventory locations and help ensure materials are stored in the correct locations.

  • Safely operate warehouse equipment and use appropriate tools when performing inventory duties.

  • Communicate material shortages, inventory concerns, and discrepancies to leadership.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

  • Perform other warehouse and inventory duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in marine manufacturing, warehouse operations, inventory control, or a similar production environment is required.

  • Previous experience performing cycle counts, inventory counts, or related inventory control functions is required.

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

  • Ability to accurately count, record, and verify inventory quantities.

  • Ability to read and understand part numbers, labels, inventory locations, and work instructions.

  • Basic computer skills and ability to accurately enter and retrieve inventory information.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to investigate discrepancies and identify potential causes.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a team.

  • Dependable attendance and ability to meet production and inventory schedules.

  • Ability to communicate inventory issues clearly and professionally.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to work in a warehouse and marine manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass materials, and varying temperatures.

  • Ability to move throughout warehouse and production areas while performing inventory counts.

  • Ability to perform repetitive counting, scanning, recording, and data-entry tasks.

  • Must follow required safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
