Job Description
Bristol-Myers Squibb Company is hiring a(n) Senior Data Engineer - Cloud and AWS (in New Brunswick, NJ).
Duties: Design, build, and guide the development of complex ETL and data integration pipelines, including creating proof-of-concepts (POCs) for new solutions. Drive the architecture, development, and deployment of generative AI applications using AWS Bedrock and related GenAI services. Integrate GenAI models into enterprise data workflows, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant solutions that deliver transformative insights and operational efficiencies. Provide hands-on delivery and act as the main point-of-contact for data engineering projects, leveraging a range of AWS services and other cloud technologies. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data pipeline platforms and strategies by identifying and implementing the right technologies. Learn, maintain, and support multiple real-time data integration technologies as required to meet project and operational needs. Partner with infrastructure teams for capacity planning and performance optimization. Provide rotational on-call support for production releases, including non-business hours and weekends. Ensure all projects and data solutions comply with required policies and governance. Work closely with clients, developers, and vendors to define technical requirements to provide proactive and appropriate guidance to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Drive project deliverables by collaborating with project managers to align on timelines and budgets. Mentor junior developers and stay ahead of technology trends to guide the team's technical direction. Partner with infrastructure teams for capacity planning and performance optimization. Participate in recurring and ad-hoc meetings with both Hyderabad and US teams to support delivery activities.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master’s degree or a foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or a related field, and eight (8) years of related work experience. Related degree and/or experience/skills are required.
