MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Mechanic Technician to join our vehicle sustainment team in Ft Benning, GA. The selected candidate will provide maintenance support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Repairs, rebuilds or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors.

  • Work involves replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting and ignition systems

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and 3 or more years of relevant experience is required.

  • Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening; must possess a Valid Driver's License for the location in which the work will be performed, a High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel to various US or OCONUS locations.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen with a current/active secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.

  • Must be able to push, pull, and reach.

  • Must be able to work in high noise areas.

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.

  • Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
