Job Responsibilities/Duties

Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) delivers exceptional performance in safely removing, treating, and disposing of tank waste. H2C leads the nation's largest and most complex radioactive waste cleanup, including closure of the legacy waste tanks at Hanford containing 56 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste.

H2C is seeking an Administrator to support Shift Operations. The Administrator performs diverse clerical and administrative functional support activities which may contain unique problems having important impact on organization activities.

-Plans, initiates and coordinates activities between department(s) and outside representatives for the purposes of improving workflow, ordering supplies, or providing a specific service or information.

-Evaluates flow of work and applicable procedures within the department. Recommends, communicates and implements new procedures, forms, etc. to improve efficiency.

-Performs data analysis; inputs and maintains records and tracking systems.

-Serves as a resource and interfaces with other clerical and administrative support staff.

-Daily communication with Central Shift Operations Management, Shift Managers, Area Managers and Field Work Supervision to support their changing needs in the fast-paced environment of the CSO.

-Answer phones, maintains files, orders and maintains supplies.

-Comply with H2C policies and procedures

-Ensure ISMS Principles are incorporated into organization's activities

Required Qualifications

Grade 5:

High School diploma or equivalency (GED) and 5 years clerical experience required.

Grade 6:

High School diploma or equivalency (GED) and 8 years clerical experience required.

Grade 7:

High School diploma or equivalency (GED) and 10 years clerical experience required.

Desired Qualifications

-Hanford Tank Farm experience preferred.

-Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft products and desktop publishing software capabilities.

Compensation & Benefits

In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.

Hiring Range Minimum: $49,688

Hiring Range Maximum: $75,813
