Description
Sr. Product Manager
Position Objective
Plans, organizes, directs, controls, and provides the leadership to achieve the division’s short-range and long-range business development objectives in the company’s traditional product market segments.
Principal Responsibilities

Establish and achieve short- and long-term sales, booking, and product line growth objectives aligned with division strategy.

Perform market research and analysis to define the market for division product growth.

Presentation at monthly operations meetings of critical metrics such as booking rates, delivery rates, forecast adjustments, quotation activity, and order backlog, new business opportunity and progress, stock availability and booking trend.

Provides data to prepare, update forecasts covering projected new business sales, bookings, proposal activity/costs by customer and program.

Develop marketing plans, business plans, sales strategies, and action plans for identified targets of opportunity that clearly define objectives, goals, strategies, schedules and action assignments.

Obtains new business programs. Provides direction and leadership to implement division sales strategy.

Lead proposal development efforts and support contract negotiations for commercial and government programs, ensuring alignment with product and pricing strategies

Maintain close awareness of direct and indirect competitor activities, offerings, pricing, and positioning.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or marketing with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in an engineering, sales, or marketing environment within the aerospace industry.

Five (5) or more years of experience in product management, business development, program management, or contract negotiation within aerospace or defense manufacturing environments.

Experience within the bearing industry is preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong product technical competence, including understanding of design, performance, and applications.

Knowledge of marketing communications, promotion strategies, and go-to-market execution.

Understanding of manufacturing capabilities, capacities, and operational constraints.

Advanced market and customer intelligence gathering and analysis capabilities.

Demonstrated success working with OEM and Tier 1 aerospace customers.

Strong Excel and data analysis skills; ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Ability to coordinate a high volume of activities under varying conditions and constraints.

Self-confidence and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Additional Information
Position is based on site in Oxford, CT with moderate travel as required.
