Job Description

As a Mechanical Assembler you will perform a variety of tasks relating to production operations on a wide variety of state-of-the-art electronics. Mercury Systems is a manufacturing contractor for the Department of War, engineering and manufacturing mechanical assemblies and subassemblies to give our troops a technological advantage on the battlefield. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, leadership, and initiative in your daily activities, while excellent inter-personal and communication skills both oral and written will help you excel in this critical role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Install, assemble, and inspect electronics per documented work instructions

  • Interpreting job routers, written instructions, and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics

  • Performing a variety of inspections with a focus on ensuring assemblies meet/exceed IPC standards

  • Performing pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts

  • Using hand and/or power tools, and assembly palettes

  • Apply material according to specifications and under simulated conditions

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work 2nd shift hours 2:30pm-12:00am

  • 3+ years of electronics assembly and/or inspection experience

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule in order to meet production and customer needs

  • Must be able to lift and manipulate up to 25lbs for an extended period of time

  • Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures

  • Must be detail oriented and able to multitask

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of IPC-610 and J-STD-001 preferred

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

This position requires you to have or obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
