PATH is seeking a Temporary HR Coordinator based in Seattle, Washington (U.S.) to support a short-term employee records digitization project. This project-based role will provide administrative support to the People Services team by organizing, digitizing, and maintaining confidential employee personnel files. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for preparing, scanning, indexing, and uploading employee records into electronic systems while ensuring compliance with PATH's records retention policies and applicable data privacy requirements.

This position requires exceptional attention to detail, discretion in handling confidential information, and the ability to manage a high-volume document conversion project while maintaining accuracy and organization. The assignment is expected to run from September through December 2026 and will support PATH's initiative to transition paper personnel files to secure electronic records.

HR professionals at PATH work in a coordinated effort to implement PATH's people strategy and facilitate the delivery of best HR practices. These roles advance PATH's mission through effective partnering with leaders and staff and leveraging HR expertise to influence business decisions in their regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sort, prepare, and categorize confidential HR documents for scanning and electronic filing.

  • Scan employee records and upload documents into designated HR systems and electronic personnel files.

  • Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure scanned documents are legible, complete, and correctly indexed.

  • Shred confidential records following company document retention and destruction procedures.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information.

  • Label, archive, and organize physical and electronic personnel files.

  • Retrieve employee records as requested by authorized HR staff.

  • Track document processing progress and maintain inventory logs of completed files.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.

  • Previous administrative, office support, or Human Resources experience preferred.

  • Experience handling confidential or sensitive information.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and document scanning equipment.

  • Ability to lift and move file boxes weighing up to 25 pounds, when necessary.

  • Frequent handling of confidential employee documentation.

The hourly rate for this temporary role in the U.S. is $27. The final salary is based on a variety of objective factors. This is a non-benefitted position.
