Job Overview:
Engineers are responsible for the maintenance, service and repairs of the Boilers, HVAC, chilled water unit and various other equipment systems in the Belmont Grandstand and barn area. Installation of new equipment as regards new construction and renovations projects. Responsible for the climate control of buildings. Responsible for periodic compliance testing and record keeping as well as monthly service and record keeping of systems as per Nassau County and NY State guidelines. The role requires adherence to all OSHA, New York State and company safety regulations while working
Essential Functions:

Conduct routine inspections to identify damaged equipment and make repairs
-
Set up safety barriers and warning signs in work areas to protect guests, employees, and contractors.

Follow all OSHA regulations, NYS and County, and company safety procedures.

Coordinate work and follow schedule
-
Report maintenance concerns, hazards, and repair needs to management.
-
Assist with special projects, as it pertains with Engineers work
-
Maintain inventory supplies, equipment and parts
-
Keep work areas organized, clean, and free from safety hazards.
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED preferred.
-
Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
-
Knowledge of commercial equipment, and safety procedures.
-
Ability to safely operate ladders and aerial lifts.
-
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Certifications
-
OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
-
Aerial Lift Certification.
-
Suspended Scaffold User Certification.
-
First Aid/CPR Certification.
Work Schedule
-
Full-time position.
-
Must be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and during special events as needed.

Overtime may be required based on operational and event demands.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb for extended periods.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Comfortable working at heights.

Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain.

Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Safety Requirements

Comply with all OSHA regulations and company safety standards.

Use fall-protection equipment and PPE at all times when required.

Participate in safety training and certification programs.

Immediately report accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, or equipment defects.
Pay Range / Salary: $63.04 per hourly
