Responsible for the effective coordination for receiving materials (feed, ingredients, shavings, etc.), maintaining accurate inventories, and delivering products to various company locations including farms, feed mills, and processing facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures successful inbound and outbound flow of goods, including routing trucks for most efficient delivery.

  • Maintains a computer inventory of incoming and outgoing products on a daily basis.

  • Reviews production schedules and current inventory reports to plan procurement needs.

  • Coordinates receiving and deliveries, reprioritizing as needed. Communicates locations, routes, schedules, etc. with relevant parties (i.e., leaders, growers, vendors, service techs, drivers).

  • Urgently responds to business needs and resolves operational and delivery conflicts as they arise.

  • Ensures accurate and timely deliveries of products to and from field locations.

  • Uses computerized tools and reports to monitor and optimize efficiency and accuracy of fleet operations.

  • Enters tickets into online system for processing and payments.

  • Creates and maintains various reports on inventories and metrics for production, quality, timeliness, maintenance, discrepancies, etc.

  • Coordinates fleet maintenance with shop and delivery schedules.

  • Assists with new driver on-boarding, training, and remedial training.

Minimum Qualifications (Educations & Experience)

  • 3+ years of relevant experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience working with computerized inventory tracking

  • Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel

  • Strong communication, organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills

  • Solid critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to coach, train, and support peers

  • Ability to handle conflict appropriately

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Associate's degree in transportation, logistics, or management

  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations and scheduling of internal fleet equipment

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions & Travel Requirements

  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment.

  • The noise level of the environment is usually moderate.

  • Occasional travel may be required.
