Salary Range: $135,000.00 To $150,000.00 Annually

The Staff Pharmacist provides education and counseling to patients and fills patient prescriptions. The Pharmacist also assists with training and management of pharmacy technicians and volunteer pharmacists, ensuring policies and protocols are followed. As part of the Essential Functions for this position, the Staff Pharmacist:

  • Fills patient prescriptions and answers provider questions

  • Provides counseling on both prescription medications and over-the-counter medications in accordance with APhA guidelines

  • Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers

  • Assists in medication ordering and maintenance of appropriate inventory controls within the pharmacy

  • Assists in the procurement, storing, and accounting of pharmaceuticals

  • Conducts drug utilization reviews as needed

  • Manages rejected claims

  • Provides troubleshooting functions for third-party discrepancies and other prescription filling issues

Qualified Candidate will be registered with current New York State Pharmacist license; experience working within a retail pharmacy setting highly preferred; experience serving specialty and underserved populations highly preferred; candidate must demonstrate typing and counting accuracy, in addition to keen attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills; awareness of and sensitivity to the issues and health disparities faced by underserved populations is essential

Required Education/License: Pharmacist (NYS - must be current/valid)

Required Experience: Experience working within a retail pharmacy setting highly preferred; experience serving specialty and underserved populations highly preferred

This position is posted with a salary range. The actual rate of pay offered will be based on a variety of individualized factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s skills, relevant experience, educational background, internal equity, and market considerations.
