Position Summary - First Health Manager, Account Management

Join First Health, a subsidiary of Aetna, as a Manager, Account Management, where you will lead strategic account management and operational initiatives for a portfolio of complex client relationships. In this highly visible role, you will drive client satisfaction, retention, and long-term growth through effective relationship management, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration. You will oversee the execution of account strategies, ensure delivery of contractual commitments, identify opportunities to enhance client value, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders. This position plays a critical role in supporting business retention, operational performance, and the overall client experience.

  • Lead contract implementation and onboarding initiatives for new clients, products, and program expansions, ensuring a seamless transition and successful launch.

  • Monitor emerging healthcare industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments; assess business impacts and drive strategic process improvements to support client and organizational objectives.

  • Drive client retention and growth through proactive account management, strategic planning, and delivery of exceptional client experiences.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing guidance on regulatory requirements, healthcare trends, and industry developments that may impact their business.

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities that enhance client outcomes, operational efficiency, and market competitiveness.

  • Develop and present executive summaries and business recommendations to support strategic initiatives and client objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in Account Management or a related client-facing role, with a strong focus on providing operational support for large and complex National Accounts.

  • Proficient in business intelligence and analytics.

  • Proficient in execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting).

  • Skilled in fostering collaboration and promoting effective teamwork to achieve shared goals.

  • Growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others).

  • Strong organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to travel 10-20% within the designated territory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the healthcare and insurance industry.

  • Demonstrated expertise in provider relationship management and handling rental contract agreements.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional qualifications and training, or relevant experience in the field.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$60,300.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
