Hiring Immediately – Machine Maintenance Technician – Elgin, IL

Inergroup is hiring immediately for Machine Maintenance Technician jobs in Elgin, IL. As a Machine Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing production equipment including conveyor belts, sealing machines, box-making/cartoning machines, X-ray inspection systems, and related equipment to ensure all systems run at maximum efficiency and output.

This Machine Maintenance Technician position offers weekly pay starting at $35 - $40/hr and great benefits are available.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of High School diploma or GED.

  • Three to five years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience working on conveyor belts, sealing machines, and other production equipment.

  • Strong electrical skills: Interpretation of electrical/controls circuitry schematics and PLC hardware/Ladder Logic.

  • Mechanical skills: Troubleshooting pneumatic systems, motors, drive systems, and valves.

  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift throughout the production facility.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime of manufacturing equipment.

  • Perform mechanical and electronic troubleshooting of complex systems, including electrical and PLC problems.

  • Install new equipment and make improvements on existing machinery.

  • Prioritize work orders for routine and scheduled maintenance and document repairs.

  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on all plant utility systems.

  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company safety policies and PPE requirements.

Schedule - We have openings on 2nd Shift and 3rd Shift:

  • 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm

  • 3rd Shift: Monday - Friday, 10:00pm - 6:30am
