Full job description

You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN for the NAVAL STATION. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Reviewing and screening Material Request Forms (MRFs) and Purchase Requests (PRs) for accuracy of funds approval, additional special approvals, special requirements, adequacy of item descriptions, and changes in requirements based on experience and knowledge gained from previous requirements, and to determine that requested material and service requirements meet current supply policies and regulations; 2) Tracking and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the status of all requisitions; 3) Processing documentation for stock item receipts, issue material to shop or work center personnel, keep local stock records, reorder stock when directed, prepare standard reports. You will conduct extensive searches for required information and to provide supply support to meet urgent requirements for specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and material. You will conduct market research and thorough knowledge of local supply market and sources of supplies to ensure support for construction, renovation and repair of facilities requiring items with special handling instructions. You will prepare and maintain records, reconcile reports/data, research and reconcile discrepancies relating to actions such as material ordering, shipping, tracking, receipt and invoices.
