Full job description
Spanish Teacher (0.4 FTE) – O'Rourke Middle School
The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Spanish Teacher to join the team at O'Rourke Middle School. The successful candidate will foster a positive and engaging learning environment while inspiring students to develop proficiency in the Spanish language and an appreciation for Hispanic cultures.
Responsibilities include:

Plan and deliver engaging Spanish language instruction aligned with the New York State Learning Standards and district curriculum.

Create a classroom environment that promotes communication, collaboration, and student engagement.

Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of students.

Assess student progress and provide timely, meaningful feedback to students and families.

Integrate technology and instructional best practices to enhance language acquisition.

Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student success.

Maintain accurate student records and fulfill all professional responsibilities.
Qualifications:

Valid New York State Certification in Spanish 7–12 (or appropriate World Language certification).

Strong knowledge of language acquisition strategies and middle school instructional practices.

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
