Full job description
You will serve as a Aerospace Physical Qualifications Specialist in the Aerospace Physical Qualifications Department of NAVMEDOPTRNCMD DET NAVAEROMEDI. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing automated systems (e.g., management information system, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) to extract information. Assisting with clerical and administrative functions to support the needs of the organization. Preparing reports and maintaining documents in electronic files for easy retrieval. Verifying evaluations for accuracy prior to submission to BUPERS. Reviewing forms and instructions ensuring they are approved and controlled. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You receive, monitor and track receipt, administration and disposition of medical files. You will provide quality control of medical records function by conducting interviews; ensuring compliance with regulations; evaluating results for problems and efficiency; and recommend corrective actions to supervisor. You will review, research and implement command health care regulatory policies and rules in the administrations of medical records and processes. You will assist Aerospace Medicine residents in gathering, analyzing and reporting specific groups of data from medical records and historical data for research and departmental requirements. Security clearance required: Secret
Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
