The opportunity

As a Senior Material Handler, you will be responsible for managing the receipt of all inbound freight and processing all outbound shipments, which include both domestic and international orders. Your tasks will involve picking, packing, staging, and shipping products from the warehouse. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to, forklift operation, supply chain services, managing the availability of critical parts, supporting engineering requirements, controlling inventory, and providing customer service support to Magic Leap's remote facilities.

Location: This position requires being fully on-site at our Austin, TX facility, to ensure seamless collaboration and hands-on support for daily operations.

What you’ll do

  • Receive, verify, document, and process inbound and outbound shipments using SAP or other warehouse management tools.

  • Pick, pack, stage, and ship domestic and international orders, ensuring accurate shipping and import/export documentation (BOLs, packing slips, invoices, labels).

  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, FIFO inventory practices, replenishment, discrepancy resolution, and reporting of inventory shortages.

  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely while maintaining 7S standards and an organized warehouse environment.

  • Support Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, and Finance by processing kitting requests, managing consumables, tracking IP collateral, coordinating returns, and resolving shipping issues with carriers.

  • Participate in safety initiatives and continuous process improvements to enhance warehouse operations. The experience you bring

  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional education or training in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business is a plus.

  • 5+ years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP/warehouse management systems.

  • Skilled in packaging, palletizing, and handling high-value or fragile materials.

  • Strong attention to detail with inventory control, shipping documentation, and basic mathematical reconciliations.

  • Proficient with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive).

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across multiple teams.

  • Ability to safely lift, stand, walk, and work in a warehouse environment for extended periods. Additional Information

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. In addition to salary, Magic Leap offers a discretionary bonus and a fully comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees.

US Hourly Salary Range $24 — $27 USD
