Full job description

As a Turndown Attendant , you will create a restful space for our guests to return to at the end of the day – and you will take pride in knowing that your thoughtful attention to detail makes them feel welcomed and cherished.

Hourly Rate: $27.49

What you will be doing: 

  • Overall tidying of occupied guestrooms to include, but not limited to: turndown beds, dusting, neatly arranging guest belongings, removing soiled linen, retrieving clean linen from linen closets, vacuuming, amenity replenishment and bathroom cleaning if required
  • Report any mattress protector, blankets, bedspreads and valances in need of change
  • Call In Room Dining for removal of trays/trolleys
  • Regularly update, record and/or report suite status: turned down, do not require service, Privacy Please, etc.
  • Take accurate room status reports at the end of the shift
  • Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment; report any malfunctioning equipment
  • Keep linen closets, supply closet and landing organized and clean
  • Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests
  • Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Be knowledgeable of the island, our resort and its offerings in order to be our guests’ trusted guide
  • Carry out duties in accordance with company policies/procedures to ensure safety and security of guests and colleagues, including reporting suspicious persons and lost and found items
  • Promote and enforce health and safety awareness as well as have a complete understanding of the emergency procedures Schedule: Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.

 

  • Warm and caring personality; previous housekeeping experience an asset
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with minimum supervision
  • Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming
  • Must have manual dexterity to be able to carry out essential functions, operate housekeeping devices and other cleaning equipment as needed
  • Frequent walking and standing throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent pushing and pulling up to 100 lbs.
  • Occasional bending and kneeling
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps  All Candidates must be in possession of identification proving authorization to work in the United States as defined in the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA).
