GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST

You will serve as a General Supply Specialist in the NAVAL MEDICAL READINESS LOGISTICS COMMAND of NAVMEDREADLOGCMD D FT DETRICK MD. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing MS Office suite or similar applications to analyze data and prepare written communication for decision or information papers and briefs. Experience identifying comprehensive Class VIII (medical and dental material and equipment) capabilities to include identifying peripherals, durable instrumentation for operations or testing and consumables. Experience analyzing and evaluating fleet medical and dental program documentation and equipment/systems design. Able to formulate alternative support goals to achieve program objectives. Experience developing logistics requirements and determines demand plans to satisfy future requirements - by applying forecasting techniques for the modernization of the entire state of medical and dental authorizations, assemblages, and equipment for medical spaces afloat. Experience or knowledge of the Navy's Controlled Substance Inventory Board (CSIB) policies and procedures. Experience or knowledge of Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) licensing laws and regulations. You will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing Medical and Dental Allowance Lists (AMALS and ADALS) for Naval Operating Forces. You will routinely and directly interact with clinical Specialty Leaders and present recommendations on allowance standards within Navy assemblages. You will serve as a focal point for coordination of medical material support and resolution of problems encountered in operation medical environments. You will provide pharmaceutical expertise that provides oversight, guidance, analysis, and reporting controls on all pharmaceutical/controlled substances procured for the Operational Forces platforms. You will generate monthly surveillance letters and controlled substance reports for each activity that ordered and received controlled substances. You will generate and submit a quarterly Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) transaction report via Automation of Reports and Consolidated Orders System (ARCOS); maintains all associated records. You will assist fleet and operational component's personnel in tracking controlled substance items that have not been shipped and not received. You will present study results and recommendations to agency management officials at meetings/conferences. Security clearance required: Secret
