Machine Operator

Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

Location: Winsted, CT

Pay: $22.50/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM

We are seeking dependable Machine Operators to join our manufacturing team in Winsted, CT. This is a great opportunity for candidates with manufacturing experience who are looking to build their skills in a stable production environment.

Training is provided on 1st Shift before transitioning to the regular 2nd Shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust lap machines and related production equipment.

• Load and unload machines and maintain proper machine settings.

• Monitor oil levels, pressures, cut rates, feeds, and speeds.

• Pump tanks and change lap slurries as needed.

• Perform in-process quality inspections and dimensional measurements.

• Record production and inspection information accurately.

• Perform basic equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.

• Identify and properly segregate nonconforming product.

• Maintain product traceability and accurate production records.

• Follow written specifications, procedures, and production schedules.

• Maintain tooling, cleaning equipment, and inspection equipment.

• Participate in cross-training and learn additional manufacturing processes.

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision or management.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or machine-operating experience preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to follow written instructions and production specifications.

• Ability to accurately complete production paperwork.

• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.

• Willingness to learn and participate in cross-training.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods, generally throughout the workday.

• Frequent walking, pushing, carrying, and transporting materials.

• Ability to push hand carts and use hoists.

• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to work in various positions, including bending, leaning, and turning.
