AND, you qualify at the GS-13 level, if you meet the following qualification requirements: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: designing enterprise databases to support applications, ensuring system scalability, security, performance, and reliability; planning and installing upgrades of database management system software to enhance database performance; developing data models for applications, metadata tables, views, and related database structures; implementing automated data integration and data transformation (ETL) solutions to meet business requirements; and, provide technical support and guidance to junior database administrators or specialists. Oversee the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of sources such as XML data files, flat files, and relational data sources. Provide input for determining technical goals, leads projects that improve the general support environment, and works with other members of the database support team to resolve difficult problems. Monitor the systems and maintenance routines, providing input for planning and developing new policies and standards for use of the supported products. Serve as a technical expert in the design, implementation and maintenance of an enterprise data warehouse.
