Full job description

Must be highly mobile to provide on-site event coverage. Duties require walking, standing for extended periods, and carrying digital media equipment (e.g., cameras, gimbals, tripods) during events. Work is performed in a mix of office settings and on location at various indoor/outdoor events. Must be able to work an irregular tour of duty, which includes after-hours, weekends, and holidays to provide live streaming and media support for FSS activities. Who May Apply: Open to everyone. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Technical Operations: Operates standard photography and motion picture equipment. Configures peripheral lighting, sounds equipment, and determines optimal camera angles/shot sequencing. - Identifies and prepares script breakdowns, shot lists, and special effects. Coordination & Compliance: Reviews/edits photos, scripts, and media to ensure alignment with FSS communication themes, protocols, and policies. Research subject matter and arranges specialized equipment for unique assignments. Field Support: Attends community events and programs to provide active media coverage. Authorized to operate government vehicles (e.g., light trucks, sedans, golf carts) to support transport and field operations. Core Experience: Progressively responsible professional photography and videography experience. Portfolio Requirement: Must provide a portfolio showcasing a diverse collection of well-executed photos and videos. Software Proficiency: Demonstrated experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.) or other professional editing software. Equipment Operation: Hands-on experience operating a variety of cameras and related video equipment. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
