Full job description

What You'll Do as a Chef De Cuisine:

As a  Chef de Cuisine a Westgate Resorts you Supervise and actively participates in all kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food in accordance with established standards and recipes. Responsible for producing high-quality food products that consistently exceed guest expectations while maintaining operational efficiency, food safety, and cost controls.

  • Assign, direct, train, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient daily operations and proper preparation of menu items.

  • Ensure proper receiving, storage, temperature control, and rotation of food products in compliance with food safety standards.

  • Maintain food quality, consistency, portion control, and presentation standards.

  • Monitor and control food and labor costs through effective scheduling, inventory management, requisitioning, and purchasing practices.

  • Develop and maintain recipes, inventory records, and supply orders as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and health department regulations.

  • Deliver exceptional guest service by maintaining high culinary standards and responding to guest needs.

  • Coordinate equipment maintenance needs with the Executive Chef and Engineering Department.

  • Cultivate a positive, productive work environment through leadership, coaching, training, and employee development.

  • Other duties as assigned. What You'll Bring:

  • 10 years of culinary management experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or resort environment.

  • Food Handlers Certification required within 30 days of Hire, must be maintained on a current/valid status.

  • Culinary degree from an accredited institution preferred.

  • High school diploma or general education degree GED.

  • The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Follow instructions without close supervision.

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
