Continental AG is hiring a Mixing Setup Technician. Full job description

The Mixing Setup Technician

Optimize the change-over process in Mixing and to fine tune the equipment in order to increase production consistency and reliability.

  • Perform machine change-over and set-ups for optimum machine up time and consistency.

  • Develop and implement guidelines for optimum setups on each machine with regard to stock being produced.

  • Perform minor repairs on equipment: For example – photo eye adjustments, slitter blade adjustments, gripper hook ups, loop lengths, belt tracking etc…

  • Help design and maintain Mixing process flow and layout optimization.

  • Perform machine inspections to identify and help prevent major breakdowns.

  • Assist in the training of all machine operators in Mixing.

  • Assist in six sigma project implementation.

  • Monitor and adjust for customer complaints such as: poor stacking accuracy, slitter accuracy, etc..

  • Assist in carbon delivery issues mainly from day bin to mixer.

  • Must communicate to on-coming tech any issues faced during shift.

  • May be required to stay over or come in early for shift coverage.

  • Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.

  • Any other tasks deemed necessary by Mixing management. Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 1 year Continental Manufacturing experience or 2 years mechanical experience.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job posting.

  • No relocation assistance is offered for this position Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous manufacturing experience or Associates Degree Environment

  • New Hires will likely be placed on a shift that includes evenings and weekends. 

  • The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. Majority of work completed in a high heat environment.

  • The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and operating machinery, with comprehensive training provided.  THE PERKS
