Full job description

You will serve as a EVENTS SPECIALIST in the Programs and Integration Division (PID) of OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATION. GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience assisting with planning, developing, coordinating, and executing events, award ceremonies and commemorative functions; Experience providing communication (oral and written) and interacting comfortably with Senior Leaders; Experience assisting with the development of agendas, scripts, guest lists, invitations, seating charts, and flag displays for events. GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience planning, developing, coordinating, and executing high-level events, award ceremonies and commemorative functions; Experience effectively communicating (oral and written) and interacting with Senior Leaders; Experience overseeing the successful execution of senior level events utilizing proper military protocol; Experience with the development of agendas, scripts, guest lists, invitations, seating charts, and flag displays for events. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive a request for assistance and then conduct a face-to-face meeting to discuss and determine event requirements. You will assist the client in determining the best catering options for refreshments and can provide menus when requested. You will conduct frequent meetings with clients (usually weekly) to ensure assigned tasks are on track, updates are made, and changes are reviewed. You will discuss the various layout options of the publication, brochure, or pamphlet to ensure client satisfaction and quality assurance. You will develop a script specifically tailored for each event. Security clearance required: Secret
