Product Development Scientist (Powder Formulation)

Leesburg, FL

Please Note: This position is open to candidates who are authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship. We are not able to consider C2C arrangements or third-party submissions.

Are you passionate about creating products that actually make it to market? We're looking for a hands-on Product Development Scientist who enjoys developing new powdered products, solving technical challenges, and working closely with manufacturing to bring innovative nutritional products from concept to commercialization

This is not an academic research role, we're looking for someone who has real manufacturing experience developing powder formulations in a regulated environment

What You'll Do:

  • Develop new powdered dietary supplement and nutritional product formulations
  • Improve existing formulas for taste, functionality, manufacturability, stability, and cost
  • Create prototypes, laboratory batches, and pilot runs
  • Scale formulations from bench-top development into full commercial production
  • Evaluate ingredient functionality, powder flow, solubility, moisture, stability, and shelf life
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Regulatory, Packaging, Procurement, and Sales throughout product development
  • Troubleshoot formulation and manufacturing challenges
  • Support commercialization of new products while ensuring GMP and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain formulation documentation, specifications, technical records, and manufacturing instructions
  • Manage multiple development projects while meeting timelines

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Nutrition, or a related scientific field

  • 3–5+ years of product development or R&D experience

  • Hands-on powder formulation experience

  • Dry blending experience

  • Experience taking products from laboratory development through commercial manufacturing

  • Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, quality systems, and regulated manufacturing

  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Bonus Points:
