To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Articulate and communicate to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion. Works with database administrators to ensure solution, including purchased components integrate with database architecture. Conducts research and investigation into technological developments with the potential to improve the design, development, installation, implementation, and support of new or existing applications software Expertise in SAP development and makes technical decisions based on sound development standards Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Leads a group of Information Technology Specialists engaged in providing application programming services for Automated Information Systems (AISs) supporting the business needs of the DLA user community. Technical expert performing feasibility studies which involve application of emerging computer technology to resolve unique user requirements; provides expert advice to users... Examines and evaluates the latest developments in the field to meet user requirements. Provides advice on the impact, risk and risk mitigation of software development decisions, plans, schedules, designs and specifications. Spearheads efforts in system design/modification for assigned projects. Works with system architect to ensure solution is compatible with DLA architectural policy and directives and DLA systems architecture. Maintain program and administrative reference materials, project files and relevant background documents and make available policies, procedures and written instructions from the supervisor...
