Job Title: Packer Job Description
The Packer plays a key role in supporting production operations by working closely with machine operators and team members to ensure all products are accurately packed, labeled, and prepared to meet customer requirements and quality standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow work orders precisely, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work area in a modern manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

Follow directions on work orders with accuracy and strong attention to detail.

Inspect finished products to confirm they meet specifications and quality standards.

Identify non-conforming goods and promptly notify the appropriate department leader.

Perform visual inspections and verify measurements throughout the production flow.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.

Complete additional tasks as assigned to support production and shipping operations.

Handle packing, labeling, packaging, and shipping activities as part of the production process.

Lift items weighing 50 pounds or more as needed.

Stand for long periods while performing packing and inspection tasks.

Walk, sit, bend, and talk on the phone as needed to complete job duties.

Sit at a desk for extended periods when required for documentation or work order review.
Essential Skills

Ability to accurately follow and interpret work orders.

Strong attention to detail in packing, labeling, and inspecting products.

Ability to identify non-conforming products and communicate issues clearly.

Capability to perform visual inspections and verify measurements using simple measuring tools.

Ability to lift 50+ pounds safely and repeatedly as required.

Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, and lifting.

Strong command of English, both written and spoken, to read work orders and communicate with team members.

Basic math skills to support measuring, counting, and verifying quantities.

High school diploma or GED required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

At least 1 year of factory or manufacturing experience preferred.

Experience in packing, production, labeling, packaging, or shipping environments is an advantage.

Comfort working around manufacturing machinery and equipment while following safety protocols.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.

Work Environment
This is a first-shift position with hours from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The role is based in modern manufacturing facilities designed around safety, efficiency, and teamwork. The workplace emphasizes a “Safe to the Core” culture, where employees perform hands-on tasks confidently and safely while working around machinery, materials, and equipment. Team members are expected to follow all safety protocols and guidelines at all times. The environment is active and production-focused, with a combination of standing, walking, and occasional desk work to review documentation and work orders.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Brunswick, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
