Full job description
You will serve as a Financial and Adminstrative Management Specialist in the Space Science, Code 760200 of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY. Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience at or equivalent to the NO-01 pay band or GS-01/04 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; 2) Plan and organize work; and 3) Communicate effectively orally and in writing. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will serve as a Financial and Administrative Management Specialist and assist the supervisor in budget formulation, planning and execution. You will calculate all charges associated with each program task to project funding needs. You will prepare administrative portion of procurement requests, ensuring the technical information follows proper guidelines. You will reconcile expenditures, traces and resolve discrepancies in expenditure rates through contact with NRL. Security clearance required: Secret
Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Bachelor's Degree OR 4 full years of post-high school education leading to a Bachelor's degree OR Combination of education and experience totaling 100% of the general experience A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
