Job Description The Forklift Operator – Truck Jockey is responsible for safely moving product using powered industrial equipment
What your day will look like:

Move tractor/trailers to designed dock or parking space
-
Drop and hook trailers as needed
-
Chock trucks using glad hands to prevent trucks from pulling off
-
Operation of powered industrial equipment while following UNITED safety policy
-
Verify all product/full goods/raw materials incoming and outgoing
-
Stacking loads properly
-
Perform general housekeeping duties
-
Perform daily forklift inspections
-
Correctly rotate product/materials
-
Responsible for following all warehouse operating procedures

Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
What you need to succeed:

Minimum age 18 years old
-
Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED’s Fleet policy
-
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
-
Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
-
Ability to read, write and speak English
-
Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
-
Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
-
Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
-
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Forklift experience preferred
-
Truck operation experience preferred
-
Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
-
Ability to work with all functional team members
Physical Requirements Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
