PIPEFITTER SUPERVISOR

You will serve as a PIPEFITTER SUPERVISOR in the PIPE/FLEX HOSE SHOP, HULL DIVISION, REPAIR DEPARTMENT (TRF-300) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE Experience developing training curriculum and materials necessary to conduct classroom and shop training which include lesson plans and instructor guides, handouts, wall charts, transparencies, training aids, and both practical and knowledge examination. Experience working in the capacity as a leader and working and leading pipefitters in the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of submarine systems such as saltwater, oxygen, steam, nitrogen, oil, high pressure air, nuclear, feedwater, condensate, etc. Experience interpreting blueprints, instructions, and specifications and performing pipefitting measurement and layout. Experience providing instructions from shop supervisors, setting the working pace to ensure that schedules and completion dates are met in a proper and safe manner, and working closely with shop supervisors to prevent delays. Experience demonstrating proper work methods and ensuring accurate completion of documentation associated with work operations and ensuring that personnel training needs and any equipment, material, or personnel shortages or problems are met in a timely manner. You will remove, repair, manufacture, and reinstall piping systems and equipment aboard ships and submarines. You will serve as a leader responsible for performing and work involving assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of submarine piping systems for other pipefitters. You will develop training curriculum and materials necessary to conduct classroom and shop training. You will provide demonstration towards proper work methods as required and ensure accurate completion of all documentation associated with work operations. You will maintain a current knowledge of, and answer questions of other works on, procedures, policies, written instructions and other directives pertaining to pipefitting operations. You will troubleshoot submarine piping systems and equipment. You will plan weekly work schedules, determine assignments and establish deadlines. Security clearance required: Secret
