Full job description

You will serve as a FACILITIES OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the ADMINISTRATIVE AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT DIVISION (AR) of HQ US MARINE CORPS. GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in the architectural drafting, construction project management, furniture design and procurement, displays and visual aids and aesthetics, access control for vendors, materials procurement and vendor coordination. GS-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in the architectural drafting, construction project management, furniture design and procurement, displays and visual aids and aesthetics, access control for vendors, materials procurement and vendor coordination and advise on strategic operational planning. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will conduct field surveys to investigate existing equipment layout and conditions. You will analyze structural requirements, make calculations, size, and select architectural features which meet aesthetic and functional requirements. You will monitor projects and construction to assure the proper use of government funds. You will conduct field investigations during construction involving difficult problems such as changes due to latent conditions or changes in customer requirements You will prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final design concepts, drawings, sketches, and specifications, formalize design plans and construction requirements, and ensure compliance with scope of work.
