Full job description

Job Description

The ideal candidate is a technically driven NDT professional who is passionate about nondestructive testing and eager to grow into or further develop within a Level III role. This individual will join a quality-focused team at a precision aerospace manufacturing facility, reporting directly to the Quality Manager. While there are no direct reports, this person will carry indirect responsibility for a staff of approximately 15 certified NDT inspectors — overseeing their annual practical evaluations, managing recertification cycles every three years, and developing training curriculum for new inspectors entering the program. Because the NDT program does not consume a full 40-hour workweek on its own, this role also contributes meaningfully to broader quality engineering functions, including reviewing nonconformances, supporting corrective actions, conducting internal audits, and assisting with quality control activities. The facility is currently undergoing approximately $2 million in inspection equipment investment, and this individual will play a key technical role in developing new procedures and obtaining customer approvals for that equipment — making this a high-impact, high-visibility opportunity for someone who wants to leave a lasting mark on a growing operation.
