We partner across HR functions to help leaders make better decisions through data-driven insights, meaningful measurement, and strategic consultation. Our work supports enterprise priorities including talent strategy, employee listening, organizational health, leadership effectiveness, recruiting, learning and development, compensation, benefits, community investments, brand & communications, and emerging Focus Areas such as GenAI adoption and Global Job Architecture.

We are seeking an Assistant Director, Advanced Analytics to serve as a senior individual contributor and trusted advisor. Leadership is exercised through expertise, influence, project leadership, and mentorship. In this role, you will partner with leaders to frame complex business questions, develop measurement and analytics strategies, and deliver insights that inform decision-making. You will lead highly visible, cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through recommendation, combining analytical rigor, business acumen, and compelling storytelling to drive action.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical skills with exceptional consulting, stakeholder management, and communication capabilities, allowing them to operate effectively as both an analytics expert and strategic advisor. This position offers the opportunity to shape how the organization measures, understands, and acts on people and organizational insights while helping advance the capabilities and impact of Enterprise Insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute analyses that evaluate business challenges, identify opportunities, and improve organizational outcomes.
  • Partner with stakeholders to scope complex business questions, translate needs into analytical approaches, and connect insights to decision-making and action.
  • Design innovative analytical methodologies and synthesize data from multiple internal sources to produce actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Develop measurement strategies, success metrics, and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of people programs, initiatives, and organizational investments.
  • Lead large, cross-functional projects from problem definition through execution, including stakeholder communication, issue resolution, and risk management.
  • Set direction for analytical initiatives where predefined metrics, methodologies, or benchmarks may not exist.
  • Conduct advanced statistical analyses and other quantitative techniques to address critical business questions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders on talent, culture, employee experience, organizational health, and leadership topics.
  • Connect insights across multiple analyses and initiatives to identify themes, trends, risks, and opportunities that support enterprise decision-making.
  • Present findings and recommendations through compelling data storytelling, visualization, and executive-level communications.
  • Research and apply emerging analytical techniques and technologies while helping advance the capabilities of Enterprise Insights.
  • Lead project teams and cross-functional working groups through influence rather than direct reporting relationships.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced analysts, providing technical guidance and helping elevate team capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Information Management, or another quantitative discipline required. Master's degree preferred.
  • For candidates with a master’s degree, a minimum of 5 years of applied business analytics experience preferred. For candidates with a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 7 years of applied business analytics experience or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated success applying advanced analytics, statistical methods, and data-driven problem-solving to complex business challenges.
  • Deep knowledge of data sources, analytical methodologies, and business drivers.
  • Expertise in data querying, analysis, and visualization tools, including SQL, Python, R, Power BI, and related analytical technologies.
  • Experience working with modern cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, or similar technologies.
  • Strong ability to translate complex analytical concepts into clear business recommendations for non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to independently lead large-scale, cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Highly developed communication, facilitation, presentation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong planning, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to balance analytical rigor and business practicality.
