We have an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Mechanic to join our Palmdale, CA facility, supporting safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our advanced manufacturing environment.

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for assisting in servicing, modifying, rebuilding, and repairing the facility mechanical equipment in accordance with applicable building codes and safety regulations. Assists with performing periodic inspections to locate equipment malfunction, conducting maintenance programs to prevent failure, checking and testing for leaks, setting and adjusting controls and regulators, and overhauling equipment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Replace filters in HVAC equipment and filters and bottles in the DI and RO water systems.

  • May troubleshoot basic plumbing systems.

  • May perform building maintenance tasks as required.

  • Participates in the inspection of safety systems such as fire extinguishers, exit lights, and hose cabinets to the criteria established by safety guidelines.

  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two or more years of progressive experience as an apprentice plumber or HVAC mechanic. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.

  • Two-year technical degree or trade school equivalent desirable.

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or commercial facility environment, with hands-on preventive, corrective, and troubleshooting maintenance on facility systems and equipment.

  • Strong mechanical and multi-trade background, including:

  • Troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining industrial equipment and facility support systems.

  • Building maintenance and repairs, renovations, and infrastructure improvements.

  • Drywall repair, painting and finishes, interior wall/partition work, and basic flooring installation/repair.

  • Systems maintenance experience, including:

  • Plumbing repairs and installation of fixtures, drains, and piping.

  • Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair of lighting, switches, outlets, and minor components.

  • Basic HVAC troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and filter changes.

  • Proficient in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance equipment; able to interpret basic drawings, schematics, manuals, and maintenance documentation.

  • Ability to prioritize work, respond to urgent maintenance needs, and complete projects independently or as part of a team; experience coordinating with contractors, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Must be customer focused and possess:

  • A valid California driver’s license with a good driving record verified by the DMV.

  • EPA certification in refrigerant recovery, desired.

  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of computer operations pertinent to the field.

  • Strong understanding of safety practices, including lockout/tagout, OSHA requirements, and proper use of PPE; experienced in documenting work, maintaining work orders, and following preventive maintenance procedures.

  • Ability to work extended hours as required.
