Job Description:

This Federal Work Study (FWS) position provides administrative and clerical support to various departments across South Georgia Technical College, contributing to efficient office operations and student services.

Job Responsibilities:**

  • Perform general office duties including filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry.
  • Answer phones, direct calls, and take messages professionally and courteously.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
  • Prepare and process various forms, documents, and reports.
  • Organize and maintain office supplies and inventory.
  • Provide front desk coverage and greet visitors, directing them to appropriate personnel or departments.
  • Assist with special projects and events as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Utilize basic computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Adhere to all college policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications:**

  • Must be an enrolled student at South Georgia Technical College and meet Federal Work Study eligibility requirements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Professional and positive demeanor.
  • Prior office experience is a plus but not required.
