Manufacturing Process Engineer

Kelly® Engineering is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II for a direct-hire opportunity with a growing team focused on continuous improvement and advanced injection molding processes. Overview

Join a dynamic manufacturing engineering team integrating and optimizing systems with an emphasis on injection molding production and validation. As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you'll lead process improvements, support new program transitions, and collaborate across departments to deliver high-quality products and sustainable operational results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute manufacturing engineering projects, focusing on injection molding and related production processes.

  • Drive Lean and Six Sigma practices, identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Apply hands-on engineering approaches to optimize product manufacturing and process validation.

  • Support transitions for new programs to production, including equipment, process validation, and secondary operations.

  • Develop and document manufacturing specifications, technical guides, and instructions.

  • Analyze raw material and production costs to support cost containment initiatives.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure product and process quality.

  • Gather data for capital equipment needs and ROI assessments.

  • Participate in NCR and CI meetings, and support sales initiatives as needed.

  • Visit customer sites to support manufacturing efforts as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5–7 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong experience in injection mold processing and lean manufacturing applications

  • Proficient with SolidWorks and/or Solid Edge

  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings and documents

  • Skilled in preparing and presenting technical documentation for use in manufacturing environments

  • Creative, solutions-oriented, and familiar with modern manufacturing technology

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Able to define problems, collect & analyze data, and make sound technical decisions

Pluses:

  • Experience with both injection molding and rotomolding environments

  • Prior role in capital equipment assessment and/or process ROI analysis

Physical Requirements

  • Standard facility activities including standing, walking, sitting, and manual dexterity

  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly, and up to 40 lbs occasionally

  • Repetitive hand/wrist activities
