About Us: BlueQubit is Silicon Valley’s first quantum algorithms lab, working at the frontier of quantum applications research for both the NISQ and fault-tolerant eras. Our mission is to achieve true quantum advantage — enabling quantum computers to solve scientific and commercial problems that are beyond the reach of even the most powerful classical supercomputers. Based in San Francisco, our team develops next-generation quantum algorithms, software, and computational tools designed to unlock practical value from quantum computing.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and test novel quantum algorithms on state-of-the-art quantum computers, with the goal of demonstrating scientifically and commercially relevant quantum advantage.
- Develop and benchmark algorithms for problems where quantum computers can outperform the best available classical methods and supercomputing resources.
- Collaborate with team members across shared research projects and codebases
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least five years of research experience, with a strong publication record in quantum computing or a closely related area.
- Proficiency in Python and/or C/C++, with experience using quantum computing frameworks and software tools.
- Experience running experiments on NISQ quantum hardware.
Nice to Have
- Experience with quantum error mitigation techniques.
- Experience with classical quantum simulation methods, including tensor networks, MPS, and PEPS.
- Experience applying artificial intelligence (AI) to scientific discovery.
