Job Details:

The Development Engineers II are experienced professionals who take on more complex software development tasks. They are responsible for designing and implementing software solutions, conducting code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to the overall improvement of the development process. Development Engineers II have a deep understanding of software development principles and technologies and play a key role in delivering high-quality software products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Delivers medium-high complexity development or automation tasks as part of a team. Influences in collaborative meetings with peers and stakeholders. Interacts with stakeholders, create requirements and demonstrate work. Documents code. Follow established software product engineering practices related to software development.

  • Works under moderate supervision with access to assistance for work assignments not covered through established guidelines.

  • Acquires solid knowledge and develops specialized skills.

  • Establishes individual priorities when supporting projects and/or processes.

  • Perform other assigned job-related duties that align with our organization's vision, mission, and values and fall within your scope of practice. Design and Development:

  • Designing, coding, and debugging applications in various software languages or tools.

  • Developing software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. Testing and Maintenance:

  • Performing unit testing and integration testing.

  • Maintaining and improving existing codebases and peer review code changes.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving software defects and issues. Collaboration:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to define, design, and ship new features.

  • Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers. Documentation:

  • Writing and maintaining technical documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections. Research and Development:

  • Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the company remains competitive.

  • Conducting research to discover new technologies and tools to improve efficiency and performance. Project Management:

  • Participating in project planning, including estimating timeframes and resource requirements.

  • Managing tasks and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of projects. Security and Compliance:

  • Ensuring software security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Implementing data protection and security measures. Customer Interaction:

  • Interacting with customers or end-users to gather requirements and provide support.

  • Translating customer requirements into technical specifications. Continuous Improvement:

  • Continuously improving development processes and methodologies.

  • Engaging in continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Quantitative or Engineering Field or relevant experience.

Experience: 1+ years relevant or practical experience.

Special Skills:

  • Programming (proficient in at least two languages or proficient in 2 software tools) - JavaScript, Node.js, React

  • Passionate about building intelligent, AI-powered applications and agentic systems that turn complex workflows into intuitive, automated experiences, or hands-on experience developing full-stack solutions that integrate LLMs, APIs, and modern cloud infrastructure to deliver scalable, real-world impact.

  • Proficient in at least one front-end or back-end framework

  • Utilizes data engineering

  • Utilizes Version Control, DevOps & CICD

  • Technical Writing and Diagramming

  • Analysis (Technical, Business, or Data)
